Walk A Mile In My Shoes

Did you know:

There are 11,939 foster children in Oklahoma.

I didn't.

And I also didn't know: Foster care children have few personal belongings; a couple outfits, a few photos, and a toy or two. When they move between families, the children often carry all they own in a plastic trash bags or grocery sack. Carrying their effects in a trash bag can be embarrassing and yet another reminder of how little these foster care children have in this world.

Foster care children deserve to carry their belongings with dignity and self-confidence and you can help.

This weekend.

DATE: 9am Saturday, April 30, 2011

LOCATION: The Mickey Mantle Plaza at the Bricktown Ball Park
